Here is a selection of photographs taken by a group of young adult carers who took part in The John Cowane Wellbeing Project.
The 16-24 year olds were asked to create the A3 prototype for a tourist information map that would act as a guide to some of the area’s many highlights.
As part of the project, which was led by Kathleen O’Neill on behalf of Cowane’s Hospital Maintenance Trust and funded by Awards for All, they toured the area and its many visitor attractions – keeping a photographic record along the way. Their work was such a success that they were recognised with Saltire Awards.
The John Cowane Wellbeing Project is part of CHMT’s wider work to return the 17th-century almshouse in Stirling’s Old Town to the heart of the community.
The young people have been supported by Stirling Carers Centre staff Lucy Ryan, Zoe Taylor and Florence Miller.
The final image shows Kathleen and the young people at work.
