Cake Fest 2016

The Festival of Architecture’s Cake Fest 2016 was held at Cowane’s Hospital on Sunday 11th September. It was a great day out for families and bakers who came along to see Scotland’s famous buildings and landmarks made entirely out of cake!

Cowane’s Hospital was made by Mrs James from Allan’s Primary School with the help of the P7 class who made the cannons, Auld Staneybreeks himself, lampposts and gravestones.

Congratulations to Mairi Sutherland who won the best cake design for fabulously recreating Skye Bridge – well done Mairi and a big thank you to everyone who baked a cake and to those who came along.
